Hawthorn (Crataegus monogyna) – Bare Root, 40–60cm 🌿
Our bare root Hawthorn plants are one of the best choices for creating a traditional, native, and wildlife-friendly hedge. Crataegus monogyna is well-loved for its dense, thorny growth, making it ideal for a secure boundary hedge while providing excellent shelter and nesting for birds. In spring, it produces clusters of fragrant white flowers, followed by bright red berries (haws) in autumn that are a valuable food source for wildlife.
These bare root plants offer superb value and establish quickly when planted during the autumn and winter months. Hardy and easy to grow, Hawthorn thrives in most soils and conditions and can be planted on its own or mixed with other native species.
